Brock became an incorporated village on July 7, 1910. It was named for Isaac Brock, the hero of the War of 1812.
The village lies in the Rural Municipality of Kindersley No. 290, about 165 km southwest of Saskatoon.
Brock has produced a couple of notable people: John Badham, a sportscaster who was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame, and Steve MacIntyre, a professional ice hockey player.
